Bank account information

Amazon uses electronic transfers to pay your sales proceeds to you. Before you can receive payments, your seller account must specify a bank account for us to deposit money into. We cannot transfer funds to a credit card or online payment system such as PayPal.

To avoid payment delays:

  • Your seller account must have a business address associated with it.
  • Your bank account must be located in India.
  • Your bank account information must be up to date.

Add your bank account information

Whenever you add or change bank account information, a three-day security hold goes into effect. Fund transfers cannot be initiated until the hold expires. Only the primary account owner can make changes related to payment information.

To add new bank account information to your seller account:


  1. Go to Settings and click Account Info.
  2. On the Seller Account Information page, under Payment Information, click Bank Account Information.
  3. Next to Deposit Method, on the right-hand side of the page, click Edit.
  4. Next to Bank Account Information, on the right-hand side of the page, click Add if you're adding a bank account or Edit if you're modifying your current one.
  5. Use the drop-down list to select your Bank Location Country.
  6. If you selected a country with a currency other than the marketplace you are selling in, go to Currency Conversion Payment Agreement, click Agreement, and read the agreement.
  7. Check the Currency Conversion Payment Agreement box to accept the terms of the agreement.
  8. Click Submit.
Note: If you want to edit details about an existing bank account, add a new bank account with the updated information and then delete the old account.

Delete a bank account

You can delete a bank account from your seller account as long as it is not selected as your deposit method. If it is the current deposit method, you must add a new deposit account before deleting the older account.

To delete a bank account from your seller account:


  1. Go to Settings, and then click Account Info.
  2. On the Seller Account Information page, under Payment Information, click Bank Account Information.
  3. Next to Bank Account Information, on the right-hand side of the page, click Edit.
  4. Next to the appropriate marketplace, click Edit.
  5. Select the bank account to delete, and then click Delete.
  6. Click Submit.
