For certain high sensitive categories like food, ASSPL has a high bar for sellers to list products on Amazon.in. In order to ensure that our customers are able to buy food products with confidence on Amazon.in, we have implemented additional compliance checks for sellers. The requirements for selling in the Grocery & Gourmet Food category reflect customer concerns about product quality, product branding, and consumer safety.
Sellers must meet the requirements listed below to sell products in the Grocery & Gourmet Food category. Once you have reviewed the category requirements, you can apply for approval by clicking the Request approval link.
In order to sell Grocery & Gourmet Food on Amazon, you must submit the following:
Mandatory requirements: All the requirements/documents listed in serial no. 1 to serial no. 5 are mandatory for every food product/product type.

Listing and sale of ‘Temperature Sensitive Food Products’ is through an invite-only model at this point. Invited sellers are allowed to list ‘Temperature Sensitive Food Products’ only after physical verification of necessary licences/documents/QC processes in accordance with the guidance provided in the schedule 4 of the Food Safety and Standards (Licensing and Registration of Food Business) Regulations, 2011 and involves an intensive process.
