Subscribe & Save orders

There are two types of Subscribe & Save orders: sign-up orders and replenishment orders.

  • Replenishment orders are automatically created according to the frequency set by the customer. Subscribe & Save customers can set deliveries at monthly intervals, from one to six months.

Not meeting any of the above eligibility criteria for more than 30 days, even after enrollment, may lead to blocking of Subscribe & Save offers or such seller may be terminated from participating in this programme.

If the option to enable your participation is not available in your account settings, you are not eligible for the programme. The option will be automatically enabled in your account settings after you meet the eligibility criteria.

To enable your participation in the Subscribe and Save programme:

  • In your seller account, in your Fulfilment by Amazon Settings, locate Subscription Settings and click Enable Subscribe & Save if you agree to the applicable terms and conditions.
  • After reviewing the FBA Subscribe & Save programme information, go to Subscribe & Save to add products to the programme.

Alternatively, eligible sellers can enrol in FBA Subscribe & Save from the Programmes Portal.

Note: Selection should be above INR 200 each and you may be allowed to offer certain selection under this programme below INR 200 only on an exceptional basis.

Subscribe & Save programme requirements

Only eligible products can be included in the Subscribe & Save programme. From the eligible products, you can identify the products that you wish to offer under the programme using the means designated by Amazon. Products must be offered through FBA. Additional eligibility criteria may include your sales history, inventory levels and performance metrics.

For eligible offers, the Subscribe & Save discount, as determined by you, is applied to your price for the product on the day that the order is placed. The discount is applied to the selling price that you set for the products you offer as subscriptions and is deducted from your revenue. FBA picks, packs and ships your Subscribe & Save order.

Subscribe & Save Tenets

In order to ensure regular fulfilment of subscribe and save orders and better performance on the marketplace, below are few suggestive tenets which the sellers may choose to follow:

  1. Offers may be made on products which are re-orderable in nature. When in doubt, you may use the re-order % (% number of customers who bought the product again in a certain time period) as the metric.
  2. In order to ensure fulfilment of subscribe and save orders, offer may be added if the product has been in stock for 75% of the time in the last 30 days.
  3. Offer may not be added on temporary ASINs, ASINs about to be discontinued or risky ASINs (with operational issues).
  4. Offer may not be added on products which have high C-return, high shipping damage or high CPU due to product quality.
  5. All ASINs offered under the programme may be replicated in three or more clusters.

Seller performance metrics

Seller performance reviews are ongoing in order to ensure a positive Amazon customer experience. When evaluating performance, we consider such things as your ability to maintain inventory levels sufficient to meet customer demand, customer feedback and Subscribe & Save order cancellations. Poor performance metrics may affect your ability to participate in the programme.

You can go to Subscribe & Save Manage products to access your performance dashboard and review the following metrics for weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly time frames:

  • Shipped units: The number of units for shipped subscription orders over a given time period.
  • Shipped revenue: The sum of your revenue from shipped subscription orders over a given time period.
  • Subscriptions count: The number of active subscriptions at the end of a given time period.
  • Not delivered due to OOS: The percentage of your units that were not delivered because the ASINs were out of stock.
  • Average revenue per customer: A comparison of your average revenue from subscribers versus non-subscribers.
  • Planned revenue: The sum of your revenue from orders expected to ship for your active subscriptions in the upcoming 30, 60 or 90 days.
  • Planned units: The number of units for orders expected to ship for your active subscriptions in the upcoming 30, 60 or 90 days.
Note: Planned revenue and planned units are estimated projections and not a guarantee of future sales.

You can also get these performance metrics at the ASIN level by using the search option on the dashboard. You can search up to 20 ASINs at a time.
