On Amazon marketplace, sellers are responsible for setting their own prices and play an important role in providing our customers with the largest selection, at competitive prices along with fast delivery.
To ensure that sellers do not face pricing errors and the same are removed from the marketplace, Amazon regularly monitors the prices of items, including the shipping charges. Amazon compares prices added by sellers with past selling prices and other prices available on the marketplace to filter and remove erroneous prices. If Amazon finds seller pricing instances/practices that harm customer trust, Amazon may remove the Buy Box, remove the offer, or in serious or repeated cases, suspend or terminate selling privileges of the seller.

Reiterating, while sellers are free to price their products as per their business strategy, to protect customer interests, Amazon might remove egregious prices or restrict their visibility on the marketplace.
