When you want to remove your inventory from an Amazon fulfilment centre, you have to submit a removal order. You can use removal orders to manage excess inventory, including inventory that is:

You can request inventory you have stored in Amazon's fulfilment centres returned or disposed of by using one of the following methods:
You must adhere to the regulatory and tax requirements for all removals. For more information, see Regulatory requirements for creating removal orders.
Typically removal orders are filled within 10 to 14 business days. However, removal order processing may take up to 30 days or more during peak removal periods. Fulfillable items included in your removal request will remain available for purchase until they are removed from inventory.
Removal orders are sometimes cancelled at the fulfilment centre if the inventory isn't available (for example, if it is being dispatched to another facility or pending processing for a customer order). If a removal order is cancelled, please resubmit it. If it is cancelled a second time, contact Seller Support.
If you do not want the items available for sale, you can close your listings to guarantee that they are removed rather than sold.
You will be notified by email after a removal order is complete.
The Removal Orders Detail page has two sections: the top section has the order information, and the All Items for Order section below it lists the products and quantities in the removal order and the delivery status for each product.
You can search for specific products by entering the MSKU in the Find MSKU field. You can locate all the dispatched Units by selecting the View all dispatched items button. Select the quantity dispatched and it will display the specific shipment for that particular MSKU with the selected MSKU highlighted.
When you submit a removal order to return or dispose of inventory in our fulfilment centre, your seller account will be charged a removal fee after the inventory has been dispatched or disposed of.
To see which units a return or disposal fee applied to, follow these steps:
These transactions show the date of return or disposal, the order ID you provided when you created the removal order, and the total charge for the return or disposal. The transaction date is the date on which your removal order was dispatched from the fulfilment centre or disposed of.
There are times when we may split your removal order into multiple shipments. When this happens, the Transaction Details page will show associated transactions for all the returns that have been dispatched. Similarly, if all disposal of inventory takes place on different days, you will see all associated transactions for disposals. Each shipment will correspond to an individual transaction and the transaction date will vary based on the dispatch date, but the order ID will remain the same. As a result, a removal order ID may be reflected on multiple settlement reports. When this happens, take the additional steps below to review your fees.
Match the dispatch or disposal date for the charge on the payments report with the dispatch or disposal date on the Removal Orders Details page.
The total number of units returned or disposed of multiplied by the applicable fee is the amount you were charged.
