When you enter a new card or update your information for an existing card, Amazon will ask your bank to authorise a charge of up to INR 4 to verify your identity and validate your credit card. Amazon does not actually make the charge.
Depending on your bank, the authorisation may or may not show up as a pending charge. The authorisation should disappear from your credit card statement in 5-7 business days, subject to your bank’s policies.
If your bank is unable to authorise the card, we will contact you for new information. Remember that the invalid card is not necessarily the last one you updated.
If your credit card is expired or declined, we will prompt you to enter new credit card information before you can access your seller account.
