Enrolment to Local Shops - Prime

  1. Check for Prime eligibility status.
  2. Create a Prime shipping template.
  3. Set shipping charges for each template.
  4. Set order cut-off times and operating days.
  5. Assign template to your offers.
Note: If you are also an Easy Ship Prime seller and have restricted certain SKUs from showcasing the Prime badge (through SKU restriction process), then ensure that these restricted SKUs are not assigned to "Local Shops–Prime" enabled template as well. This will ensure that there is clarity so that the promise to customers for your listings is accurate by removal of (or suppressing) Prime badge.

Detailed explanation of each step:

  1. Check for Prime eligibility status:
    1. Check your account’s Prime eligibility status.
      1. Eligible for Local Shops–Prime

If you are eligible for Local Shops–Prime, then you will see the below page. Complete the registration process and enable Local Shops–Prime by proceeding to step 2.

      2. Not eligible for Local Shops–Prime

If you are not eligible for Local Shops–Prime, then you will see the below page. This could be because of any of the reasons below:

        • Your account is not enrolled to Local Shops (also known as Self-Ship Guaranteed Delivery) programme.
        • You are not maintaining your performance as per the eligibility thresholds of the Local Shops programme.

  2. Create or modify Prime shipping template.
    1. Sign-in to your Seller Central account.
    2. Click the Settings on the right, and then click Shipping Settings.
    3. You will be redirected to Shipping Settings page.

    4. Click Self-Ship tab.
    5. Click Edit.

    6. You will see a Prime delivery checkbox on top of the template. Ensure to check the Prime delivery checkbox. After that, click Add Prime Regions.

Select the PIN codes from the list to add regions as shown in the image below:

    7. Once you have configured the PIN codes in the Prime template, you can edit your template at any time by clicking the Prime speeds at the bottom of the template as shown below:

    8. You can also enable Prime on multiple templates by following the steps below:
      • Click on Click here in the Prime banner.

      • In the following prompt, select the shipping templates on which you want to enable Prime and click Confirm.

  3. Set Shipping charges for each template

After you select the templates, (see highlighted in red in the image above), the selected checkbox will expand and allow you to enter Shipping fee - Unit Price / Price per order. Enter the shipping fee as per the Amazon shipping guidelines (to avoid ASIN getting blocked) and click Save at the bottom of the page.

Once saved, it can take up to 2-4 hours for changes to be reflected in your seller account. Once the changes are live your offers will have the Prime badge on the Product Detail Page on Amazon.in where the buyers will see faster delivery options. For more information, go to Self-Ship Shipping Settings help page to know how to select the delivery region.

Note: As part of the Prime template, for non-Prime customers, you can set delivery charges up to INR 150.00 for Same-Day and up to INR 100.00 for One-Day deliveries. Prime customers get free shipping for Same-Day and One-Day deliveries. Two-Day delivery will be free for all customers.
  4. Set order cut-off times and operating days

Order cut-off time is the time of the day till when you would receive orders that need to be processed on the same day. Any orders beyond the cut-off time of the particular day should be processed on the immediate next day.

The following table gives the timelines on when you must ship confirm and deliver an order based on order type.

Note: Process your orders on or before ship by date shown against the order in the Manage Orders page. If the order is not confirmed by Ship by Date, then it will be cancelled on Ship by Date at midnight and it will have an impact on your seller account's performance and you will be charged a cancellation fee (refer to section 4 on order processing).

Once you are on the programme, the account will be set to default cut-off times (mentioned in the table below). We recommend you to change the order cut-off times for your orders to help to distribute volumes evenly for Same-Day, One-Day and Two-Day delivery. Selecting a later cut-off time will help you to increase the flow of orders for your account. But a cut-off time too late in the evening will allow less time for order processing.

  5. Assign template to your offers
    1. Go to Manage Inventory.

    6. To follow this in bulk, you can use price quantity file and update the shipping template against the SKU.
Note: If you are also an Easy Ship Prime seller and have restricted certain SKUs from showcasing the Prime badge (through SKU restriction process), then ensure additionally that these restricted SKUs are not assigned to ‘Local Shops–Prime’ enabled template as well, so that the promise to customers for your listings are made accurate by removal of (or suppressing) Prime badge.

To assign SKUs to appropriate shipping template, download the instructions here:
