Identification and processing of Local Shops - Prime orders

This help page provides information on identifying and processing orders, cancelling orders, and invoicing for Local Shops - Prime orders.

Delivering Local Shops - Prime orders

If you are delivering through a 3P carrier, then you can choose any of the following carriers listed that are integrated with Amazon systems:

Blue Dart, Fedex, DTDC, Delhivery, Aramex, Xpressbees, Shree Tirupati courier, Safexpress, Spoton, Bombax, DotZot, Wefast, Gojavas, and Nowbikes.

Contact the carriers on your own and get the list of PIN codes where they can deliver on Same-day or One-day or Two-day delivery time. After getting your carrier’s consent, you need to configure the PIN codes in the shipping template on Seller Central. For more information, go to Enrolment to Local Shops - Prime Program.

You can click here to see the list of Hyperlocal carriers who can provide you with Same-day or One-day deliveries within your locations.

Alternatively, if you are delivering on your own, then it is mandatory to use the Amazon Delivery App to update the order status. Click here to know more about Local Shops - Amazon Delivery App.

Identifying Local Shops - Prime orders

Local Shops orders can be of three types: Priority (Same-Day), Next day (One-Day), Second day (Two-Day) delivery. You can identify these orders by going to Manage Orders page on Seller Central. Every Prime order will have a Prime badge next to it.

Processing Orders

You can process Local Shops orders using two methods:

  1. Confirm Shipment
  2. Self Deliver

Similar to Self-Ship orders, you will also have Confirm Shipment option for all Local Shops orders. Additionally, you will also have Self Deliver option, if your account is activated to use Amazon Delivery App (mobile application).

Listed below are different features of both methods:

Confirm Shipment: This option must be used if you are using an Amazon integrated carrier for deliveries. While using this option to process orders, you must have a valid tracking number (searchable on carrier’s official website). In case, you choose a non-integrated carrier while ship confirming a Local Shops order, it may impact your Valid Tracking Rate metric.

To understand how Confirm Shipment option works, follow the steps below:

  • Log in to Seller Central and go to Orders and click on Manage Orders page.
  • Select an unshipped order and click Confirm Shipment.

  • On the Confirm Shipment page, select Ship Date and Carrier from the drop-down, and enter the Tracking ID (provide valid Tracking ID supplied by the carrier).

  • Click Self-Ship – Confirm Shipment.

Order Cancellation

All Prime/Guaranteed Delivery orders must be processed (ship confirm/ Self Deliver depending on how you deliver) within the ‘Ship by date’ and delivered within the promised date. Any orders that are not ship confirmed within the ‘Ship by date’ will be auto-cancelled by the midnight of ‘Ship by date’. This will impact your performance metrics and you will be charged a cancellation fee (100% of referral fee).

Invoicing for Local Shops – Prime Orders

Amazon generates invoice on behalf of the sellers. You can print the invoice using Print tax invoice option from Manage Orders page or Order Details page. For more information on invoicing and reports, go to Easy Ship invoicing feature .
