Dangerous goods (also called dangerous goods or dangerous goods) are substances or materials that might pose a risk to health, safety, property or the environment while storing, handling or transporting because they contain flammable, pressurised, corrosive or otherwise harmful substances. For detailed information on Amazon’s policy regarding dangerous goods and your responsibilities as a seller, refer to the following:
While the term “dangerous good” is often attributed to highly corrosive or toxic products, it also refers to consumer products used on a daily basis by millions of people (such as laptops, phones, household cleaners or even cosmetics). It is extremely important for Amazon to gather information about products regulated as dangerous goods or that contain possibly harmful chemicals to prevent any eventual safety-related incident that could occur while handling, storing or transporting these items.
For a non-exhaustive list of common dangerous goods per product category, refer to Easy Ship – Examples of products that might be regulated as dangerous goods.

Warning labels or warning phrases on a product package indicate that it might be regulated as a dangerous good. Some products that are regulated as dangerous goods do not require warning labels or phrases (cosmetics and speakers containing magnetised material, for example). The absence of any labels or warnings does not mean that they are not dangerous goods.
If you think your product might be regulated as a dangerous good, contact the manufacturer or supplier and ask if your product is regulated. The manufacturer is required to provide you with a complete Safety Data Sheet (Safety data sheet) for all regulated products and you must, in turn, provide it to Amazon via the Upload dangerous goods documents tool.
Once your document is uploaded, our Dangerous Goods team will review it and classify your product accordingly as long as the information is complete and accurate. To know more about the review process, refer to Easy Ship – Dangerous goods review process.
To know more about the dangerous good documentation you must provide for your products, refer to Easy Ship – Required dangerous good information and documentation.
