STEP Performance Metrics

STEP is a performance linked benefit program where you will be classified into levels based on your performance on below metrics against pre-defined thresholds. To know more about STEP, click here.

Below metrics are part of STEP and these metrics are calculated for all the orders irrespective of the delivery channel such as FBA, Easy Ship, etc.

To learn more about each metric in detail, click on the metric name:


  1. Total Cancellation Rate: Total Cancellation Rate is all seller-cancelled / auto-cancelled orders as a percentage of total orders, irrespective of the delivery channel (ES/MFN/FBA/Seller Flex).


  2. Total Late Dispatch Rate: Total Late Dispatch Rate is all orders that are ship confirmed (dispatched) after the expected ship date as a percentage of total orders, irrespective of the delivery channel (ES/MFN/FBA/Seller Flex).


  3. Seller Controllable Return Rate: Seller Controllable Return Rate is all orders which were returned by the customer (or refunded to customer) due to seller controllable reasons as a percentage of total fulfilled orders. Seller controllable returns include returns and refunds due to reasons such as customer receiving a defective or damaged product, customer facing size and fitting issues or in case customer complains about quality of product or about product being not as it was described on the product detail page.


  4. Out of Stock: Out of Stock (OOS) is the number of customer views where you were out of stock on a select set of ASINs from your catalogue as a percentage of total customer views on the select set of ASINs from your catalogue.


  5. Prime Listing Customer Views %: Prime Listing Customer Views % refers to the number of customer views where you have a prime offering as a percentage of total customer views on your products.


  6. Regional In-Stock%: Regional In-Stock% refers to the number of Buy Box (BB) winning customer views coming from clusters where you have inventory or have replicated your inventory as a percentage of total BB winning customer views on your selections.


  7. Net Sales Volume: Net Sales Units represent the total value of products sold to the customers. This excludes returns and cancelled products.

    Net Sales Volume: = Product Price * Quantity + Shipping + Giftwrap - Returns - Promotional Discounts

  8. Net Sales Units: Net Sales Units represent the number of products sold to the customers. This excludes returns and cancelled products.
