Child Car Seats

Due to customer safety concerns, Child Car Seats sold on Amazon.in should be certified / tested as per the specific ASTM / CFR standards as mentioned in the below table.

In order to sell Child car seats on Amazon.in, you must apply and submit the following information to Email ID: in-life-safety-equipment@amazon.in.


  1. Company name.
  2. Seller ID.
  3. Email Address.
  4. Phone number.
  5. A list of ASINs you are applying to sell.
  6. Either:
    1. Confirmation that you are the manufacturer of the products OR
    2. Copies of invoices or receipts from your supplier issued in the last 365 days, which reflect your sales volume.
  7. Please submit relevant certification / test report as mentioned in the table below:

Child restraint systems mean any device designed for use in a motor vehicle to restrain, seat, or position children who weigh 30 kilograms (kg) or less. These are categorized into different types with different applicable standards:

Hand-held infant carriers: Hand-held infant carriers have a seat back that is intended to be in a reclined position (more than 10° from horizontal).

Booster seats: Booster seats are either a backless child restraint system or a belt-positioning seat.

Forward-facing child restraint systems: Forward-facing child restraint systems position a child to face in the direction of travel of the motor vehicle.

Rear-facing child restraint systems: Rear-facing child restraint systems position a child to face in the direction opposite to the normal direction of travel of the motor vehicle.
