IMP CHECKPOINT ON UNFAIR AMAZON POLICIES FROM MY EXPERIENCE

Hi Dear Amazon Sellers,

Today once again I became victim of one unfair policy of Amazon. I sell a dashcam product and Amazon allows only 5 Bullet points. Customer Care said max Bullet points are allowed for Amazon India. But I found that Amazon itself selling "Amazon Basics" dashcams with 10 bullet points ! Also Big Brands like Kent, Qubo, Hikvision, WolfBox are allowed 6-10 Bullet points !

So below I have listed all important checkpoint, based on my unsolved grievances, that might be useful for all Amazon Sellers:

1) Whenever you list a product in some category for first time, Amazon will deliberately change the category with highest REFERRAL FEES so that Amazon can earn more. It can also happen at any time and you cannot claim any refund you notice change & notify amazon after 30 days ! So keep checking your referral fees guys.

2) Amazon will not allow you to put any other brand name like SONY,DOBLY in your product title even though your brand has global presence. But Amazon happily allows BIG Sellers & their authorized small sellers, to include INTEL,AMD, SONY, SNAPDRAGON etc brand names in their listing. You cannot do anything here. Accept it and move on.

3) Amazon itself sells many product under "Amazon Basic" with 6-10 bullet points. Also it allows BIG SELLERS to list product with 6-10 bullet points but for small sellers like us, only 5 Bullet points are allowed. You cannot do anything here. Accept it and move on.

4) Amazon has no Quality Check (QC) when it pickup the return items from Customer. We have been defrauded by many such customers. Amazon allows just 15 days to register SAFE-T Claim and that too with 60-70% of your product value. So better to ask customer to make a packing video.

5) Do not depend totally on Amazon. Develop your own website and also use other market places. Amazon can accept any fake complaint and will Deactivate your listing without understanding/accepting any of your proof. We have faced this. Amazon deactivated our listing based on one competitor who bought our product as a customer and raised counterfeit complaint. We submitted all proof but that Seller was BIG. So We finally took legal route and after 1.5 years, Amazon accepted our documents and enabled our listing. But by that time, our rating has vanished. So do not hesitate to take Legal route against Amazon. Their TradeMark Department, Specialist Support etc all are fake and hypocrite , sitting there just to support Big brands.

6) Removal of Positive Reviews: Pls take screenshot of all your reviews. Amazon can remove your verified customers' positive reviews at any time. Amazon will not accept it but atleast you can ask that customer to write the review again.

7) Removal of Negative Reviews: I have seen that there were many negative reviews for many big brands but they get disappeared over the time. Big brands takes services of Amazon or Amazon's approved 3rd party which definitely has the Power to Delete any reviews.

8) Irresponsible Customer Care: Majority of times, th9 Customer care acts like stupid and keep sending the TEMPLATE answer instead of helping. If your call gets lost during conversation, they don't even bother to call back.

9) Amazon clearly favours The Big Sellers for reviews. There are many Unverified reviews for Big sellers' product on Amazon. However, if you ask your 10 customers to post reviews, Amazon will immediately STOPS accepting reviews.

I will add more points when I can recollect more idiotic experience with Amazon.

You too can add points in this list. Sellers are not united so nobody can give a Justice to small sellers like us. Amazon will keep favouring Big brands and Big sellers.

Hi,

You have literally spoken the heart out of thousands of Small Sellers on Amazon, as you have correctly mentioned that Amazon plays a bias against small sellers and big brands with regards to listing of products.

They have clearly mentioned in their listing policies that no such words like - New Arrivals, Best Seller, etc words are to be used in the product title.

But we spotted so many top brands during this festive sale that when they launch any new product, they are allowed to enter those words in the title and Amazon just does nothing about it. Because that's where the money is coming from and they want to compete other online portals.

Literally, such a total biased attitude.
