Verification needed for our seller account - can we safely change our business name, id, bank account here or not?

Hi, @Dougal_Amazon

First of all, a big thanks for all your support always!

We are being prompted to verify the business id, tax id and bank account number again (otherwise it says that our account may be deactivated?). Though we had done this verification successfully a month back approx.

Is it a technical glitch please?

If we have to do the verification yet again, can we change the business name and address, phone number, bank account number at this time, as we want to change the name of the company now. The current company whose id is entered right now may slowly shift to other kind of business, so we wanted to change the company id. Will it be safe to do so at this time or shall we do it later? Please guide us as to how to go about it so that our account health remains intact.

We would like to make the change, but are very apprehensive. In case we change the name of the business, then of course we change of the name of business on insurance certificate too...though that will take a gap of some time...hope the transition should be okay.

It's a glitch; If you have already been verified, you can ignore it; Amazon is aware of the issue and is working on it.

I would need you to clarify your situation to be sure of your unique situation, however there was a US law passed back in December regarding the INFORM Consumer Act. This law requires all sellers to re-verify their account prior to June 27th or risk deactivation for non-compliance.

I would encourage reviewing your account health page and banner to verify if this is associated to the INFORM Act. As noted above if this is your situation, you will need to finish this verification process as requested to prevent that deactivation. You can also review information about the INFORM Consumer Act on our seller central help page.

-How much time we have to verify here...there is only a threat for deactivation?

-Currently, our seller account has had a US seller id and we have been selling for nearly 10 years with great excellent metrics. We want to now change company name to that of our affiliate in India. Is it safe to do so?

-What happens to company insurance...the current insurance is valid till sept, 2023. Are non-US sellers required to take insurance too and how. Is there any more information on this.

-Once we take the tax interview and update all tax, business and legal entity info,.....what happens to seller account....do we keep selling, while amazon reviews? or how long do we have to wait for validation roughly?

Kindly do spare some time and reply please. Thanks a lot.
