ship by date issue
Iam selling in easy ship model. I get an ship by date for evey order which is Oder+2 days. but the strange thing is amazon guys dont pickup the order on or before the ship by date. If my order is ready on t+1 day they will say no we will pick on ship by date only. this results in unecessary delay to customer. from past few days i have started getting ship by date as t+7 days . raisd a case but dont know what resolution i will get.. anyone with same issue

Yeah, this has been ongoing for almost ever. It's awful capacity planning by the Amazon Easy Ship team. Folks who ship via Easy Ship and Self Ship have it worse. Amazon's holiday planning is pathetic. We are receiving orders with pickup dates of 5 days, and 6 days later. There is really nothing you can do about it.
So much so for wanting to "become the world's most customer-centric company". We have been having 30-40 orders just lying around. Often we don't even pack and and keep it ready until it's either the day or the day before the pickup date. Because we have seen it happen several times where customers don't wait so long, they will cancel the order. We have wasted packaging material unnecessarily like this a couple of times.
The worst part is, that these are all decisions made at the executive level as always have zero ideas about what's happening on the ground. Ask any of your Easy Ship fellows if they have the capacity to handle it and they will tell you that they do. They will tell you if it wasn't against the rules, they would be happy to pick it up from you and have it shipped before the ship-by date. The problem is with the executives making such poor decisions solely based on some data. Except, they will be in denial about the fact that data can ALWAYS be biased. It all depends on who is showing what and what's the intention. And unfortunately, this is the sad reality. They have no clue what's happening at individual warehouse locations and what their capacity is looking like.
