Addressing Inaction on Theft in Amazon Easy Ship Prime Deliveries
Amazon personnel are allegedly involved in theft of products before delivery to customers. They reportedly cut open the packages with a blade, take the product, and reseal the package using Amazon black tape. When these incidents are reported, Amazon Seller Support advises filing a SAFE-T claim. However, on multiple occasions, Amazon has denied these claims and even threatened action if claims are repeatedly submitted.
This ongoing theft negatively impacts product ratings, seller ratings, and leads to increased replacements and returns, costing sellers extra in both product and shipping costs. It also has a negative effect on STEP evaluation and access to services like Prime badge facilities. Unfortunately, when we contact Seller Support, there seems to be no resolution.
