Repeated Abuse of Order/Replacement/Return Process (Need Help with SAFE-T Claim Reconsideration)
Hello, fellow sellers and Amazon support team,
I’m reaching out to share a serious issue I’ve encountered with a buyer who appears to be abusing the replacement and return system — and I’d appreciate any guidance or support.
Over the last few orders from this buyer, I’ve faced the following pattern:
The buyer places an order
*Then requests a replacement
*Then initiates a return
*But returns an old/damaged product that wasn’t from me
*While keeping the original and replacement items
In total, this scam has affected three different orders, and I’ve already filed SAFE-T claims for each one. However, I received a lower claim value, which doesn’t cover the loss of the actual product, shipping, and other related fees.
This pattern clearly shows intentional abuse. I’ve lost three products along with shipping and platform fees — and as a small seller, these losses are tough to handle. I’ve already requested reconsideration on the SAFE-T claims and hope Amazon will take this seriously.
Has anyone else faced similar situations recently? Any tips on how to escalate this or get full reimbursement for such clear fraud?

No, there is no remedy to the problem. This will keep on happening since all e com platforms are pro-customer.
If you want a tip, make provision in price to absorb such events. If you can't , stop selling those products.

its happening a lot now a days ,previously these type of orders are genrally COD but now prepaid orders are coming which is even tough to detect , its very pathetic situation to run business on amazon ,i started amazon as my dream and have almost 80 percent dead inventory bcoz of this issue ,-.As a small seller whenever we run ads ,it will convert into abusive orders so we are targeted from all sides and situations are making us to quit amazon bcoz to scale up we need support and assurance that we are not getting at all.
also as there are many platform available for customers margin also gets reduced to nill , no hope anymore to be survive on this paltform
