update Brand Name

A few months ago, when I listed my products, I mistakenly used the brand name "Generic." However, I have recently decided to change the brand name. Unfortunately, I was informed by amazon that it is not possible to modify the brand name. This poses a concern for my existing inventory. I am reaching out to you to inquire if there are any viable solutions to address this issue.

Do you NOW have a USPTO brand or are you still just really doing a DBA?

IF you have a real brand you establish NEW ASINs and forget about the 'generic' ones since every pirate in the Far East will eat your lunch with lower costs anyway.

There is no way to convert.

Hi @Seller_EBf8hQyzqVKyB

Thank you for your question.

NEVERLAST is correct that sellers will have to create new ASINs.

Please see the help page and look at the details under Policies for editing detail pages.

If you choose to re-brand a product you must create a new ASIN rather than update an existing ASIN. This is true even if the product is unbranded and does not change materially after the brand change. This includes adding a brand to a previously unbranded product.

Best,

Sandy
