USPS recycling and reusing tracking numbers
Not sure if it's just my luck but for 2 orders, seems USPS labels purchased through Amazon have been recycled for items (not mine) that were delivered some time ago in the recent past. Going to assume I'm out of luck on getting a refund because they show as delivered by USPS.
Happy Monday... :(

Adding to this thread. A case (id: 17296659431) was submitted to support regarding this issue, but the rep misdirected the incident and closing the case disregarding the fact I provided screenshot of the issue and told me to contact USPS to sort out the issue. I reopened the case already, just incase it keeps going in circle, can KJ please help and provide an update when available? Greatly appreciate it. @KJ_Amazon

Has anyones tracking on Amazons side on these orders just stopped updating a few days ago? I had 1 out of 4 packages that showed as delivered. The other 3 stopped tracking 3 days ago. Just wondering if anyone else is seeing something similar on their shipments as well?

I have spoken to 4 people this morning at Amazon Seller Support. They are virtually useless and not knowledgeable!!! They told me I need to contact the UPSP directly, yet gave me no contact phone number. It will take me forever to even reach a human being to speak to at the post office. Furthermore, why should I have to contact USPS when I used Amazon Shipping Services??

As of today, I keep getting more and more buyers complaining about this USPS tracking glitch. I contacted the USPS and they said it was Amazon's fault. I opened a case with Amazon support and they couldn't figure out what's happening so they escalated the ticket till further notice. Recently is not just tracking numbers from 2-3 months ago, but new tracking numbers from this week that shows packages are being delivered to different states and cities. ???

I am continuing to work and share your updates with our partner teams, and they are working now to investigate the full scope of the issue. Please note It is not necessary to post additional examples here from Wednesday shipments or earlier.
- Are any sellers still seeing this issue with shipping labels purchased yesterday or today? Some sellers reported seeing labels/tracking working as expected, but please let me know if you are still seeing issues.
- Buy Shipping protections will not be affected by this issue. I have shared the examples provided by sellers of A-to-Z Claim decisions affected by the issue, and the teams are working to prevent larger issues.
- I have specifically shared feedback with our partner teams regarding buyer contacts and messaging and am working on that issue. The team is aware of the difficulties sellers are facing.

We are having the same issues. Lots of angry customers. Our local Postmaster told us the systems are behind in updating recycled tracking information. Sadly, I’m certain angry customers are not going to believe this and ding my account with negative feedback

The good new is that all of our On Time Delivery rates should be going up? After all we delivered all these packages BEFORE the customers even knew that the were going to buy the item/s.

We just had to reply to 11 customers today because of this same issue.

Amazon and USPS need to take immediate action and issue a large-scale announcement to all customers regarding this glitch, as it is spiraling out of control. We cannot keep responding to every single customer—many of whom do not understand the issue and are demanding refunds.
To all Amazon moderators here: Stop telling us to create a case for every individual order and provide a case number. A little common sense—requiring just a single brain cell—would go a long way instead of copy-pasting the same responses. At the very least, apply some toddler-level logical thinking in the seller forum. We’re already sick of the useless "seller NO support" responses, so at least spare us that nonsense here.
We all know you fully understand the situation but are choosing to play d* mb, likely per Amazon’s instructions—only adding to our frustration.

And it show this on the order detail page ...

There must be two packages with the same packages with the same tracking number as the tracking shows scans in CA and then MO and then CA and the MO. This was a recycled number.

Just received email from customer who wants a refund on a customized item.

We are going to refer the customer to Amazon for A to Z as an INR since we shipped on time ... have AHT and SSA enabled ... and used Amazon Buy Shipping.
@KJ_Amazon this is just the first one ... we expect more.
