Zebra Thermal Printer ZD421

Ah, yet another delightful tale of thermal printer woes? I've gallantly wrestled with a Munbyn ITPP941, and while it served its duty for a couple of shipments, it's now turned into the proverbial nightmare of label throwing and stomping around an office. After laptop and printer reboots, the child built thing confuses labels, with a grip of nostalgia by reprinting past ones. Consistency isn't its forte either – with identical settings and documents, it transitions from landscape to portrait within the same job just to keep me fresh with my marching and jumping patterns.

I've been looking over the ZD421, as it seems to be well mentioned across forums. But I'm curious, what have my fellow FBA/FMB compadres in crime have experienced with the ZD421 or its lesser Zebra kin, especially when paired with a Macbook Pro?

While the web is teeming with videos about printing FBA labels, they feel outdated. Ideally, I'd fancy a method of printing FBA labels without resorting to snapshots and continual refactoring of settings just to get a single label setup in the right way, and with the Munbyn when this oasis is acheived its a case of "dont touch it" or "look at it" in case we end up marching and jumping once again.

Any pearls of wisdom from the FBA / FBM community for a solid printer with a good workflow to follow that is consistent would be most appreciated and i will sup a beer in your honour!

Have you tried re-installing the software ? . We had much of a similar issue - tried rebooting - printing 2 labels on a label etc . We messaged support and was advised it was a printer sofware issue and to re-download and install again. All works fine now
