How do I get a GTIN Exemption for a brand that doesnt have any UPC, EAN, or ISBN numbers?

In the past I had just gotten approval from the brand and submitted the proper paperwork which worked. Then suddenly my exemption disappeared and I have to reapply except the process changed. I follow the rules as closely as I can however the brand I want to sell under (and who I have a professional relationship with) does not have any UPC, EAN, or ISBN numbers. They create industrial goods nothing retail. Because of this I can never provide any. I see sellers on the platform selling the products I want to sell but they either sell under generic or under their own company's trademark which is against the rules. I don't want to break any rules however Amazon has been no help. These companies want me to sell and represent their products on Amazon but Amazon can't give me approval without those codes which do not exist.

So what do I do?

It's not, that's actually what you're supposed to be doing!

If it's sold for industrial wholesale use, not retail, it's up to you to get a UPC code and brand and package the item, it's called private label. That's what your other competitors are doing.

Hello @Seller_DcM4YA25oYAig,

Michelle at Amazon here. I understand that you are trying to list your items on Amazon and are running into issues. Can you please provide your case with Selling Partner Support so I can take a look at the ASIN's you are trying to list against? You can also view this page to learn how to apply for a GTIN exemption.

Looking forward to hearing back from you!
