Amazon India’s Fake Orders Scam – Sellers Beware!
Dear Fellow Sellers,
We’ve uncovered yet another case of Amazon India’s questionable tactics involving fake buyers and manipulated orders.
A buyer named "Yoga" (MLL - BLRH SC, Mangaluru, Karnataka 575012) has placed 59 COD orders—all returned! This is not an isolated incident. It’s becoming clear that Amazon is using fake orders to manipulate seller metrics and ad performance.
When we raised a complaint, Amazon Seller Support responded with the following explanation:
📢 "Amazon may conduct checks through third parties and return packages, reimbursing the Easy Ship fee."
This raises serious concerns:
❌ Is Amazon artificially inflating orders to manipulate ROAS (Return on Ad Spend)?
❌ Are they using sellers' inventory for internal audits without consent?
❌ Why are these fake COD orders placed repeatedly from the same locations?
❌ Who is accountable for the time, resources, and potential inventory damage caused by these false transactions?
As sellers, we invest heavily in ads, logistics, and product quality. If Amazon is deliberately placing and canceling orders to skew data and falsely justify their platform performance, this is a serious breach of trust.
We demand transparency and accountability from Amazon India (@amazonIN) on this practice. Has anyone else faced similar issues? Let’s raise our voices and push for fair treatment!
