Transparency is an Amazon Brand Protection programmeavailable for brand owners who want to proactively protect their products from counterfeit. Each unit is labelled with a unique code, which is scanned to verify the unit’s authenticity. Items without a valid code are identified and stopped, so only genuine items reach customers.

To be eligible for Transparency, you need to meet the following requirements:

• You own a brand.
• Your brand and associated trademarks are registered in Amazon Brand Registry.
• You have a Global Trade Item Number (GTIN), such as a UPC or EAN barcode on your products.
• You can apply unique Transparency codes on every unit that you manufacture.
• You must be able to apply Transparency codes on the same surface as the GTIN (e.g. UPC, EAN) barcode.
