AFW1 Fulfillment Center

We have a lot of products stranded in the AFW1 warehouse from December 2022 to May 2023.

Many of the products that were held up were hot sellers, which had a huge impact on our listings.

Now that our products are in the off-season, Amazon is restoring the products to on-sale status.

But the age of the warehouse is calculated from the previous age of the warehouse, not from 0 days, which has caused a huge pressure on the storage fee of our products.

Is there any good solution for this?

Good afternoon!

Thanks for posting this thread, and apologies for the difficulty this issue may have caused. I am guessing the closure / re-opening of AFW1 (which was scheduled for beginning of May) is the cause of this storage fee issue you're seeing.

I was able to find this on the FAQ Amazon published about the FC reopening:

"Will I be charged storage fees for inventory that’s unavailable for sale while the site is closed?

You may see monthly storage fees or aged inventory surcharges associated with affected inventory during the closure period. If these monthly fees were incorrectly applied to your account, we will issue you a refund within one month of the charge date. After AFW1 reopens on May 7, we will not refund monthly storage fees as items will be fulfillable for customer orders. We will continue to refund aged inventory surcharges through July 2023 as a grace period."

So essentially you should see a refund within a month of the charge date if they fees were incorrectly applied. If you don't see a refund and believe they were incorrect, update me here and we can evaluate next steps.
