Wake up people - Amazon will allow sellers to be scammed - just so they get their Prime $$$$$$$$$

I stopped selling on Amazon two weeks ago after being here 10+ years. Just came on t check emails and MORE cases of fraudulent A-Z cases today! When will the rest of the sellers understand that AMAZON doesn't care if sellers succeed or get ripped of.. They allow us sellers to be nickeled and dimed while they get MILLIONS of people to pay for Prime and use their AWS servers that control 80% of the internet. THAT is how they make their money! They use and abuse us sellers to do so. They don't care if you fail or break even - they cater to scammers on here that will steal from you - so THEY (AMAZON) get's their Prime subscriptions!!! Amazon even got sued yesterday by the FTC for scamming customers into subscribing for PRIME. Wake up people! Time to move on.

is there anyone else tired of being taken advantage of by Amazon to where you are constantly being ripped off like me? I've had Amazon blatantly go against their policies and auto approve and accept out of policies returns after the item was delivered 60 days ago and when the buyer is admitting they damaged the item. I've had expensive orders delivered to the buyer even with signature confirmation where the buyer signed for the package and then they file A to Z claims they never received the package and Amazon within 1 day gives them full refund and when I apply for appeal and show Amazon proof of delivery with proof of signature by the buyer and Amazon denies my appeal. I've had a lot of buyer remorse returns lately and they are being auto approved by Amazon so it seems they have this very loose return policy now where they are allowing buyers to return items at any time frame and are able to reutun for any reason, and Amazon wants the sellers to cover these very loose policies even when Amazon makes decisions that go against their policies and against their sellers. This platform is absolutely unbelievable when it comes to how they treat their sellers. Also I have had Amazon automated system constantly deleting my handling times in my listings for orders and Amazon wants to do nothing about it. I have 20 day handling time in my listings but Amazon is trying to force me to ship my items in 1 day and when I bring this to their attention they want to do nothing about it.

I just had a customer that placed an order for many items for almost $10k. That person returned all the items little by little in a time span of two months. I filed a complaint accusing this buyer of been abusive and Amazon just didn't see any problems with this buyer's behavior. I completely agree that Amazon doesn't protect us the sellers.

It is so sad that it has come to this for third party sellers. We've been used and abused by Amazon for years. When the return system was changed for third party sellers, during the height of the pandemic, that's when it changed for me. Considering that a high percentage of Amazon sales comes from third party sellers, you'd think they would support us.

There are ways to limit the damage the acammers can do to your business! Our losses from scams are minimal and actually improved from before AMAZON got tough on drop shippers as those were the source of the majority of the scams run on us.

First sell items that do not attract scammers!

Second Do not do FBA

Third Do not offer expedited shipping, especially express or seller fulfilled prime! Buyers who want products delivered very fast are often the worst to deal with even if they are not scammers!

Sadly I have to agree with you. Slowly I am moving my items over to other platforms. I just got ripped off by $100 (and to many of you this isn't much) but this is substantial to someone who is slowly selling a lifetime book collection. How I got taken is the item was never returned before Amazon decided to issue the money back. This is just getting to be unacceptable. The other platforms aren't the greatest but they are better than this puck.

It's a tough situation with scammers all over Amazon. People even have videos on TikTok about how to get free products from Amazon. We had to add 3% to our sales price to compensate for the scams.

Fortunately the returns process has gotten harder, customers now have to drive to a UPS location and wait in line to be able to return an item. Although that's not hard, it makes people think twice when ordering a product they likely won't keep. In my area the line for UPS drop offs extends out the door, often times 15-30 minutes.
