How Can I Update My Existing Listing Brand from "Generic" to My Registered Brand?

I’m already enrolled in Brand Registry, but one of my listings is still showing the brand as "Generic". I don’t want to create a new listing — I only want to update the brand name on the current ASIN to reflect my registered brand.

Has anyone here successfully done this?

Is this something that can be fixed through Seller Support or Listing Backend?

What’s the correct process to request a brand update without losing reviews or sales history?

Should I provide supporting documents (like trademark certificate or product images showing my brand name) to speed things up?

Any advice or step-by-step experience would be greatly appreciated.

You cannot update your existing listings. Amazon has given no provision for this. You need to create new listing with your registered brans. All your reviwes in the old listing will be lost.

On Amazon, once a listing is created under a generic brand, the brand field is locked. Amazon does not allow editing or changing the brand name in that listing.

The only solution is Delete/close the generic listing from your inventory. Create a new listing with the correct brand name,Copy everything from the old listing (title, bullet points, description, images, keywords, etc.) and just update with your brand name.

This way your product is correctly listed under your brand and avoids “generic” issues.

Not possible. Generic listings cannot be converted. We have tried this extensively with my private label listings, but it still wasn’t possible
