Reduced Amazon.in fees start April 7, 2025
We're reducing fees on the Amazon India marketplace to help you offer great selection on everyday low-value items to customers, and to scale your operations.
Starting April 7, 2025, you'll see the following changes:
- Zero referral fees for products priced below ₹300 across more than 135 sub-categories including Grocery, Apparel, Home, Health & Personal Care, Pet Products, Beauty and Baby products.
- Reduced weight handling fees by up to ₹17 for products under 1 kg.
These changes can help you save significantly. For example, when selling items priced at ₹299 or below, you could save:
- Up to ₹63 per unit on gold-plated stud earrings
- Up to ₹62 per unit on curtains
- Up to ₹60 per unit on men's shorts
- Up to ₹46 per unit on sarees
- Up to ₹41 per unit on shoes
- Up to ₹36 per unit on wallpaper
For Easy Ship and Seller Flex users, we've further simplified shipping rates with a new flat-rate system. National shipping rates now start at ₹65, down from ₹77 previously. Additionally, Amazon's Inbound Cross Dock (IXD)* service rates will reduce by ₹3 for shipments under 0.5 kg and ₹5 for shipments between 0.5-1 kg.
For more information and the revised fee schedule, go to Fee changes.
*IXD is an inventory placement service to help you move your inventory between different fulfilment centres across the country where you’re registered. You’re charged a single Shipping Fee for customer shipments shipped from fulfilment centres across India, which results in potential savings on freight and operational costs.

are you guys idiots or this is typing eror , self ship closing fees is 45 for item sold below 250 , have you lost your minds.

LOL making fool of us !! Reduced referral fee and increased closing fee and shipping cost. For Self ship you have hiked closing fee by 540%. You guys have increased the shipping fee and for self ship the referral fee is too much. I don't see sellers making any profit out of this reduced fee structure which you are claiming . Only Amazon is earning here. As always Amazon is trying to make fool of Sellers . Meesho and Flipkart have made it more simpler for seller by asking them how much they want in bank settlement instead of playing such old dirty tricks.

This is a misleading advertisement and claim by Amazon. Closing fees for self ship have increased to Rs. 45 from Rs. 7 for units priced below Rs. 300 resulting in total commissions (Referral fees + Closing Fees) being much higher than before. Kindly stop misleading sellers and maintain policy certainty. Else we wish happy selling to you and your shadow entities. PS - Play the numbers game on Wall Street, Not Main Street.

The projections made are not in line with realities. There is again a hidden agenda to add another punch of charges on sellers. If we calculate the overall impact across various SKUs, the changes made in totality not only referral fees, we end up loosing rather than gaining
Calculatedly and cautiously price your product and play the game

You have actually made it costly for sellers, for self ship you have increase the closing fees around 7 times. now whats the point of this. Self ship is used by sellers where amazon easy ship is not available, now this significantly increases the cost of doing business for people selling from remote areas.

self ship sellers will shift there business from amazon to flipkart and meesho

Amazon's new flat local delivery charges are now higher than the previous regional charges. Since our products are not available nationwide through Amazon's Regional Discovery Program, we end up paying ₹65 for local delivery instead of the earlier ₹45. In zero commission we earn 30/- and we loose 20/- in delivery may be 8/- we may gain for below 300/- product.
