How to Update Brand Name for Existing Listings After Brand Registry Enrollment?

I recently enrolled in Brand Registry for my brand, but all of my existing listings is still under "Generic." Amazon Support said I’d need to create a new listing to change the brand name, but those listing has reviews that I’d rather not lose.

Has anyone successfully changed the brand on an existing listing post-registry?

Are there risks in keeping one listing as "Generic" while others show my brand?

Any tips for creating a new listing without losing review history?

Hello @Seller_J0cCaGKI8hvOc,

Thank you for your post.

If you rebrand a product, you can't update its existing Amazon listing (ASIN). You'll need to create a completely new listing for the rebranded product.

Updating the brand name on an existing listing can confuse customers, especially if the product itself stays the same. This confusion might lead to returns and hurt your overall seller performance.

To avoid these issues, Amazon's Brand Name Policy prohibits changing the brand name of an existing product listing.

Regards,

Adam
