Amazon Changed Product Category Browse Node for ASIN

@Glenn_Amazon @Rose_Amazon @Veronica_Amazon @Michelle_Amazon

I created/built a listing for my product back in mid-July of this year (2023) and set the browse node for the listing as the most relevant I could find in Amazon's Browse Tree. Unfortunately, Amazon recently changed the browse node on the listing to a less relevant category and the change negatively impacted the organic search, sponsored ads and subsequently, sales.

I contacted Selling Partner Support about the search issue of the listing and they informed me that the browse node for the listing was not assigned to the correct category (Case ID 13717476461). Seller Support provided the necessary steps to take in order to change the browse node of the listing by uploading a product template file with the correct browse node. I followed the steps and successfully uploaded the file, but the submitted browse node change for the listing never took effect.

I contacted Selling Partner Support again about the issue (Case ID 13730207431) and was given the following canned response, "This product is assigned to the current category based on the detail page and how Amazon customers find products through search and browse."

It seems as if Selling Partner Support is contradicting itself by admitting that the browse node for the listing is not assigned to the correct category in one instance (Case ID 13717476461) and later denying the browse node change request in another instance (Case ID 13730207431).

I would really like to get the listing browse node for my product moved back to the most relevant category, but I have a feeling that Selling Partner Support is just going to keep making me chase my own tail. Hopefully one of the Seller Forums mods can step in and help me get this matter sorted out once and for all.
