Orders Stuck in Pending Due to Payment Verification – Has Anyone Experienced This?
Hello everyone,
I recently listed an item via FBA and have sold 4 units so far, but none of these have shipped. They’re all showing up under “Pending Orders” in Seller Central. The reason listed is that the customers’ payment information couldn’t be verified.
While I understand that payment verification issues happen occasionally, it seems odd that all 4 buyers would experience the same problem. One of the buyers is a friend of mine, and even confirmed with me that they used a valid payment method, yet their order is still pending.
When I reached out to Amazon support, they told me there’s nothing on my end to fix and that it’s strictly an issue with the buyers’ payment info. I’m curious if anyone else has encountered this before. Is it just a matter of waiting, or could there be another factor at play?

We often have 50-100+ pending orders. And Amazon always says it's a payment thing. But....it just means that they haven't gotten around to shipping the product(s). Totally normal course of business here.

This can be extremely dangerous to your account because it can be considered to be manipulation of sales rank.
Did you ask them to buy from you? If so there might be a suspension in the air.

On the Manage orders page, an order with a status of Pending might indicate an issue with the buyer's payment method or a convenience store payment method. In some cases, our payment and order detail verification processes can potentially extend order processing times for as long as 21 days.
