AMAZON BUSINESS ADVISORY is a trap
by Seller_CCp7IFaDCUBWt
Amazon replied

I received a call from Arshan saying they will grow the business and sign up for Amazon Business Advisory and you can easily opt out if you don't need the services. I signed up.

I did not avail their services over the time, as they send you links and only ask you to participate in coupon codes and deals.

When i wanted to opt out, I told them that i don't need their services and would like to opt out. They make the entire process so difficult and frustrating. They have multiple delays in response, they don't send you the exit form saying i have forwarded the query to the senior. The senior calls and just delays saying we have escalated your process and there is no response. In the mean time your billing cycle is still going on and the amount keeps getting deducted.

They dont give a clear picture as to when the deductions will stop. They did send me the exit form after multiple calls, in spite of that they dont give a clear picture as to when the deductions will stop. They say 15 days notice, even therafter they say till 21 days deductions will happen.

WHY DO THEY HAPPEN EVEN AFTER THE NOTICE PERIOD IS OVER?

I also contacted seller support for the same. the only answer they have is that they have escalated the issue.

I am stating below all the names i have been in contact with :

Kriti

Lily

Muhammad

What is even more concerning is that every email they send has a WARNING attached to it. In spite of their email ids have at the rate amazon dot com

This is the message that comes with every email:

This email originated from outside of the organization. Do not click links or open attachments unless you can confirm the sender and know the content is safe.

I request you to not fall into their trap. They just deduct money every week even if you want to opt out.

I request amazon to step in and help me with this.

Amzon India has gone out of the Box
by Seller_LHGmmVXeOBs6I

Dear Sellers and Amazon Team,

Amazon has built a strong global reputation for innovation and customer trust. However, many small and medium Indian sellers are increasingly facing challenges that deserve attention and constructive solutions. Our intent is not to criticize, but to highlight genuine concerns so we can work together for a fair and transparent marketplace.

Key Concerns Raised by Sellers:

• Increase in Fake or Problematic Orders:

Many sellers are reporting a rise in fake or suspicious orders and damaged product returns, which cause financial losses and affect customer satisfaction.

• Logistics and Packaging Quality:

Transportation fees have increased, but logistics quality and packaging standards appear to have declined. Inadequate packaging often leads to product damage in transit.

• High Fees, Limited Support:

Platform and service fees have been revised upward, while seller support responses often lack effective resolution or follow-up.

• Unequal Visibility and Competition:

Amazon-owned brands and large global sellers receive greater visibility, which makes it harder for small Indian sellers to compete fairly.

• Account Management and Handling:

Sellers face account suspensions even for minor or unintentional issues. Greater communication and flexibility in such cases would build trust and fairness.

• Operational Issues in EasyShip and FBA:

Delayed pickups, misplaced or damaged goods, and unsatisfactory handling of returns continue to affect seller performance and customer experience.

• Feedback and Review Transparency:

False or misleading reviews remain online even after sellers provide valid evidence. A fairer review moderation system would greatly help.

To address these shared challenges, we are forming a Facebook group for Indian Amazon Sellers — a neutral platform for collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and collective representation. Sellers interested in joining can search company name on Facebook to connect.

We believe in Amazon’s vision of empowering small businesses and look forward to working together to strengthen fairness, efficiency, and trust in the Indian marketplace.

Very Important for long term sellers like ours, our experience may save you into wise decision.

We are selling on Amazon since more than 5 years, spend huge cost of advertizing regularly, atleast 5-10K per day with zero order. due to whatever change in past 3 quarters, we have tested stressing more on advertizing in continuous big sale events such as Prime Day, Republic Sale & Great India Festival with exponential spike into cost.

had also taken ABA (Amazon Business Advisory Service) for around 6 month, to understand whats happening around.

ABA team have all the insights which they twist to generate false sales, make the product rank & trending, one after another, such as 100+, 500+, 2000+ etc. (for high value products i.e. unit SP more than ₹10K)

Why Big brand Seller does this -

Big brand identify the scope of any innovatation you do, doesnt matter product is capable or not. their game is totally different & amazon being good facilitator.

abovesaid copy companies would generate false sales, to get the real transaction report, then return via Amazon or via personal Supply chain. once they achieve the product ranking and transaction they would approach the next investor increasing company valuation and sell the stakes, same would keep going and if investor identified its a trap, they would do the same and prefer exiting following same excercise.

Good Part - Amazon identifies this and add extra tag as "Frequently returned item", but ABA being accelerator, knows this is temperory & after 1-2 weeks it would be back to normal.

How above type of companies would make business out of it-

once ranked during sale events and got tag & transaction report, abive type of company makes the product out of stock and sale into offline market. thats the bigger picture, might be shocking if not known.

Amazon benefit supporting this - gains huge advertizing cost, margin, shipping & return , ABA, FBA charges (winning in all hands)

Amazon Advertizing - initially eveyone feel like its good & provided free. once experienced around at least 3 years, we start knowing, all the trace plan is plotted by amazon account managers and their team, whom to push, what to recommend, as per their plan, if you own individual capable team, still they would repeatedly chase & exercise on behalf, sometime forcefully.

Also, all the third party account manager services are given 2/3 months free services mostly to elevate the sales, in return they get the data & trend your team has excercised and once they learnt from what work good from your team effort, they are free to implement in other sellers/brands and that creates another game. when we realized this, we strictly not allowed the account access for any external services.

FBA - FBA - we own patents of some meaningful innovations done into our domain, when we tested sending these patented products into FC, team being unable to classify the SDS information consistently, product do not require any battery, not having any chemical composition, its electronics with innovation, after providing clarification and SDS data with Battery/Chemical "NA", FC response, we were unable to classify to lacking information, which expect the voltage of the battery inside, thats in existent.

Who is loosing - All bootstrapped sellers/ brands.

My Take after testing the maximum threshold of such trend in last 4 consecutive big sale events - better to leave amazon as is, with no further required stress, let it be a platform for companies coming for investor funding, one after another would come and thats good USP for them. moving to stress to Flipkart, becoming better with huge ROAS difference.

I am a registered Amazon seller .I have noticed extremely high advertisement charges compared to my actual sales during the period March 1, 2025 to October 2, 2025.

According to my account statement:

Cost of Advertising: ₹30.042.49

Total expenses (including Amazon service fees, selling fees, FBA fees, shipping, and taxes): ₹36,795.90

This advertising cost alone accounts for nearly 80% of my total expenses, which is disproportionately high and affecting my ability to operate business & profitably as a small seller.

I believe this is unfair and non-transparent cost of advertisements on the Amazon platform.
