Hello Sellers! 👋
🎉 Prime Day is coming! We are here to help you get ready. This month's Ask Amazon series is all about Prime Day preparation — covering the topics YOU asked for most.
🗓️ Save the Date: Join our Ask Amazon session on 27 May — Amazon partner teams will answer your questions about Prime Day preparation for Listings, Shipping, Returns, and more!
Prime Day is one of the biggest sales events of the year — and your product listings are what buyers see first. A good listing helps customers find your product, understand it, and click "Add to Cart" with confidence. 🛒
We know getting your listings ready can feel like a big task 😅 — but don't worry! We'll make it simple, step by step. 💪
In this 3-part series, we'll cover: listing creation, optimisation, and AI tools to help you before Prime Day. Let's start with the basics: how to build a strong listing from scratch.
📝 Product Titles
Your title is the first thing buyers see. Keep it clear, short, and useful.
- Titles must be under 200 characters (80 or fewer is best)
- Don't use words like "free shipping" or "100% quality guaranteed"
- Avoid special characters like !, $, ?, _, {, }, ^
- Don't repeat the same word more than twice
- Include: brand name + product type + main feature
- Capitalise the first letter of each word (except small words like "and", "for", "the")
⚠️ Common Mistake: Adding words like "Best Seller" or "Limited Offer" in your title. This can get your listing hidden!

🔘 Bullet Points (Key Product Features)
Bullet points are your chance to show what makes your product special. Think of them as a quick summary for busy Prime Day shoppers. ⚡
- Start each bullet with a capital letter
- Write short phrases (no full stop needed at the end)
- Highlight: features, materials, size, and how to use it
- Never add price, shipping, or promotional info
- Use all 5 bullet points — each one is a chance to convince the buyer!
⚠️ Common Mistake: Leaving bullet points empty or copying your title. Each bullet is valuable space — use it!

📋 Product Attributes
Attributes are the hidden details that help Amazon match your product to what buyers search for. More complete attributes = easier to find your product. This is extra important during busy events like Prime Day! 📈
- Fill in ALL required and recommended attributes for your category
- Use correct values — wrong attributes can hide your listing
- Check your category style guide for formatting rules
⚠️ Common Mistake: Filling attributes with wrong or generic values just to "complete" the form. This can hurt your search visibility!

📸 Product Images
Images help buyers decide. Good images build trust and reduce returns — and during Prime Day, buyers decide fast! 📷
- MAIN IMAGE: White background only, product only, no text or logos
- Product must fill at least 85% of the image
- Images should be 1000 pixels or more (so buyers can zoom in)
- Add extra images showing: different angles, lifestyle use, key features
- Formats: JPEG (best), TIFF, PNG
⚠️ Common Mistake: Using coloured backgrounds or text on your main image. This breaks the rules and your listing may not show!
