Verify a distributor and their invoice
Hello,
When we are not sure if products and invoices from a new distributor can be approved by Amazon, can we ask Amazon team before we place the order from the distributor?
If yes, please advise who to contact?
If no, do you have any advise how to avoid loss because of paying for an order before I found I the invoice is reject afterwards. Thanks!
Nina

You can, but they will most likely tell you yes, but they have no idea. Find these two posts from this week:

Good Evening @Seller_v41jwOA7IN6ww,
It looks like you were able to receive some guidance from one of our seasoned sellers, @Seller_OvL8C4BJWiuS9 regarding gathering invoices from your distributor.
If their reply helped you, feel free to mark it as “Most Helpful reply” using the 3 dots in the corner of their post. This helps other sellers find the answer to your question at the top of the post just in case they find themselves in a similar situation.
As a new seller, I wanted to provide the link for Amazon's Responsible Sourcing documentation request requirements. Listed below are the requirements for sourcing documentation request:
Copies of invoices, receipts or other similar documents that demonstrate where your products are produced or manufactured
These documents:
- Should reflect the sales volume of your product across all Amazon marketplaces in the last 365 days
- Should demonstrate your product’s full supply chain
- Should include contact information for the supplier(s) and the original manufacturer. We may contact suppliers or manufacturers to verify the documents
Your documents should be able to trace your products to the original manufacturer even if you did not purchase them directly from the original manufacturer. This may require requesting additional invoices or supply chain documentation from your supplier if you are not sourcing directly from the manufacturer.
You may remove pricing information, but the rest of the document must be visible to enable adequate review of the documents you provide. For ease of our review, you may highlight or circle the ASIN(s) under review.
A letter of authorization can also be a valuable addition to your selling application if you are sourcing directly from the brand or their manufacturer (as @Seller_OvL8C4BJWiuS9 recommended above) since Amazon requires approval to sell in many categories, brands, and products.
Additionally, I wanted to share our Seller University resource that addresses -->Invoice requirements for when you apply to sell<-- which is what you are probably looking for most.
As this seems to be one of your first posts on the forums, I wanted to recommend using Seller University as your guide in avoid unnecessary fees, confusion about how to add a product and be aware of penalties that may occur on your Selling Account if policies are broken.
If you are not a part of the New Seller Community, I would highly suggest joining and reviewing the content in that group as well.
Please let us know if you require any additional assistance regarding the information shared above or you may reach out to Selling Partner Support at anytime. Have a great rest of the week and may the sales be with you.
Sincerely, Cooper_Amazon
