when I search for the book it says free shipping and that is not what my template I used says. Any ideas?

My only guess is that you aren't using the template you think you are using. Double check that the template attached to the listing is the same one you verified doesn't have free shipping.
Unless you just changed your template; it can take 24 hours or so for changes to fully populate through the system.
