Do we need to close our the individual account before registerting for a company account?
I have this individual account under my own name and another unverified individual account under my mother's name which is the second member of the LLC.
Do I need to close either of the individual accounts before registering for a company account? would I face consequences if I don't?
By the way is it possible to register for a new company account using an email address that was used before?

So you have a sellers account and your mom has a sellers account as well?
Do you share the same address?
You can only have ONE sellers account per household.
If they are different address then yes just upgrade your individual sealers account to a Professional Sellers account.
But no you can't merge you account with your moms account.

Hi @Seller_eDe1qcDR5Rrpr,
Steve from Amazon here, thank you for the question. You may only maintain one Seller Central account for each region in which you sell unless you have a legitimate business need to open a second account and all of your accounts are in good standing. If any of your accounts are not in good standing, we may deactivate all of your selling accounts until all accounts are in good standing.
Examples of a legitimate business justification include:
- You own multiple brands and maintain separate businesses for each
- You manufacture products for two distinct and separate companies
- You are recruited for an Amazon program that requires separate accounts
Please reference the resources below for more information on this as well.
Comply with Amazon’s Multiple Account policy
Address a Multiple Account Policy violation
Selling policies and seller code of conduct
Please let me know if there are any other questions.
Thanks,
Steve
