Amazon deactivated my account when upgrade from individual to FBA
I recently open an individual seller amazon account, so I have NO product listings. I decided to upgrade to a professional seller account. I immediately got my account deactivated by amazon and is asking me to upload personal documents. WHY was my account deactivated?

Because Amazon wants to protect the site and their bank account.
They want to know WHO you are, WHERE you are, and, some method of showing that you are trustworthy (a REAL credit card -- not prepaid or debit) and that you won't just add to the pile of scammers that are already on the site selling fake junk.
You either submit what they want or you do not get admitted to their "club".

Any account that gets upgraded from individual to professional is required to undergo re-verification. This is currently Amazon's general policy.

Heck, ANY account that is going to sell on Amazon is going to be verified and/or RE-verified at some point. Actually the new legislation looks like they are going to be requiring it yearly for anyone who sells more than the threshold. And I would expect Amazon will simply make the verifications a regular thing for EVERYONE who is selling.
NOW, if only they would get the system working properly, it would be a lot easier.
FYI, There are two different kinds of re-verifications going on currently above and beyond the normal Initial account Identity verification and upgrade verification. One is Account Identity Re-verification and I think that one is maybe still concentrating on accounts that have been in existence for a long time (from before the current level of verification.) And the OTHER is Deposit Method Re-verification. This one has had a lot of glitches going on but when I did mine it went smoothly.

Hello @Seller_zA8lIc0m32ux2,
Thank you for posting. I wanted to follow and up and see if you had additional questions around the verification process? @Seller_kIukTwdhvntApand others on your post have posted some correct information in regards to why your account was deactivated and how to cure it. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help assist with.
Cheers,
Micah
