Unjust SAFE-T Claim Denial – Premium Handcrafted Item Damaged by Amazon Logistics

Dear Sellers & Amazon Moderators,

I’m writing to express my deep concern and disappointment regarding a SAFE-T claim (Order ID: 402-9762899-4190726) that was wrongfully denied despite clear evidence of logistics mishandling by Amazon.

We are a verified seller of handcrafted premium marble artifacts under the brand ARTS & CRAFTS INDIA. The product in question was a luxury marble tissue box, securely packed with multiple protective layers and dispatched in perfect condition. However, it was delivered to the customer completely shattered, clearly due to Amazon Logistics mishandling.

Amazon issued a reimbursement of ₹1,332.79, which doesn't even cover the raw material cost of this premium product, let alone the craftsmanship involved. We submitted an appeal, citing the SAFE-T policy, which clearly protects sellers from damages caused by Amazon logistics. Unfortunately, the appeal was denied without any fair justification.

Key Points:

Product: Premium handcrafted marble artifact (not a regular item)

Packed with high-grade protection

Damage occurred during Amazon delivery (received in more than 50 broken pieces)

Denied full reimbursement despite zero fault from seller side

Decision contradicts Amazon’s own SAFE-T Claim Policy

We believe this sets a dangerous precedent for genuine artisan sellers and small businesses. If logistics errors are not fairly compensated, how are we expected to maintain quality, protect heritage crafts, and grow our business?

We urge fellow sellers and forum moderators to guide us on:

How we can escalate this issue further?

Any successful similar case resolutions?

Who in Amazon can be contacted for re-evaluation in such high-value cultural items?

This isn’t just about one claim — it’s about seller trust and fair treatment.

Looking forward to support from the community.
