Shipments going from east coast to west coast, sometimes not showing USPS ground advantage as a ship option?
I just had an order here that i'm shipping out today, the latest devliery window day for delivery is Tuesday, Jan 30th. I'm almost 99.9% certain that if I were to ship this package out USPS ground advantage it would get there by then. Why am I not seeing this shipping option?
The cheapest one I am seeing it UPS 3 day select. Which is more than 2x more expensive than the USPS ground advantage label i can buy off of a 3rd party site. I prefer to buy shipping labels on Amazon for the protection.

Amazon will sometimes decide that a particular service will not get there in time (even if you know it will). in this case, they will not offer it. They have access to millions of tracking data, so can detect when things are running less than perfectly.
I've personally noticed shipments over the last 7-10 days moving slower than usual, so there may be some basis to what they are seeing.
In situations like yours, I would buy off-site, and forgo the protection. Beats paying 2x the price.
If you see this a lot, you may want to consider editing your shipping templates to add time to the most distant states.

It's also possible that the address does not have USPS delivery. Some small cities do not offer home delivery, but have PO Boxes for everyone in town. In this case, Amazon defaults to UPS (or FedEx).

Transit times can be affected by weather events or more longterm disruptions to transportation networks. Our shipping teams work closely with carriers to provide the most accurate transit times for shipping services.
Sellers have the option to purchase shipping outside of Buy Shipping if their preferred service is not calculated as meeting delivery promises.
