Merging Two ASINs with Different Review Counts into a Variation Listing
Hey team,
I have two individual ASINs (tape products) in the DIY & Tools category (UK marketplace). Wanted to check if it's possible to merge them into a variation listing set up?
Both ASINs represent the same branded product, but in different colours. One of the ASINs has 300+ reviews, while the other has 0. Also, the titles/descriptions keywords differ a bit, but have the same brand name and general keywords.
Is it possible to combine these into a variation, so the reviews from the ASIN with fewer reviews can be merged into the main ASIN with the larger number of reviews? Wondering if it's possible for customers to see all reviews under the primary ASIN, as it is the same physical product, just of different colours?
Also, with stock currently active for both ASINs, would any stock become stranded after making any updates?
Thank you so much for all your time and help!

Hello @anovel,
Welcome to the Forums!
I'm Sarah with Amazon.
I encourage you to review the detailed help page on parent-child relationships if you haven't done so already: Create parent-child relationships.
"How are reviews shared in variation?
Products in a variation family share reviews among themselves when the parent and child ASINs share the same brand, category and other key attributes. Note that it may take a while for reviews to appear if changes have been made to the variation family i.e. child ASINs have been added or removed."
I hope it helps.
Kind regards,
Sarah.
