Go to Amazon's Seller University and do your research.

Make sure your product research is done prior to sourcing.
Make sure your SEO is at minimum equal to your competition prior to launch
Analyze results on a regular short, mid and long term cadence and make adjustments to optimize efficiancy.
Once this is all going you need to restart the process because each most products have a limited lifespan
