Buy Box on ALL listings (900+) has been lost and I have perfect seller metrics. So Why?

@Tatiana_Amazon

I have reached out to seller support and the account health team, with no answers or resolution. I have had zero negative impacts to my account. Can you please help me escalate this issue to the appropriate team? Thanks

Please see case number 14714607281 and 14709962751

The Buy Box is not a right or a given. It is like the old Clairol TV add used to say, "Only your hairdresser knows for sure". Now just replace the hairdresser with Amazon. It is run by an Algorithm Bot that giveth and taketh away.

There can only be one Buy Box for each unique product. Sellers seem to enjoy it when they have it, and then complain when they do not. But remember, when a seller is disappointed with the loss of the Box, they seem to forget, another seller is happy with that loss, because it is their gain.

This happened to me once on my 10,000 listings and which are all mine as I am the only seller of my unique items. All featured offer lost and no one else offering it, so weird. You have to have patience.

What I tried is, I did a bulk upload via excel of my entire inventory and lowered the prices by around 5 cents, and in a day or two my featured offers came back, don't know if it was coincidence, but it was worth the try .

Good luck

There are many factors to how a buy box is shown to the customer and who the seller is. Delivery speed to zip code, price, and handling times to name a few. I can log into Amazon with my business account on my PC and see I have the buy box on a product (as a non-prime buyer) because the SF listings would arrive quicker than prime delivery times. If I log into my personal Amazon Prime account, different buy box sellers appear based on FBA sellers or Amazon 1P. My nonprime listing could be cheaper by as much as 15% and arrive quicker or same time, doesn't matter, I will still not have the buy box.

I don't care what others say. The number one factor in being eligible is low prices. Also, canceling orders is a sure fired way to lose said eligibility. Amazon wants to give customers next to nothing prices with no chance of losing that sale due to it being canceled by the seller. Feedback and ratings are totally irrelevant. I have seen plenty of sellers with feedback scores BELOW 50 percent get the buy box.

What is the point of calling Seller Support? The buy box is some sort of a secret algorithm. You will never receive a clear explanation of why it is given or taken because they do not know why. Here are some variables that I noticed that count in getting the buy box:

-Good standing metrics

-Price and price compared to other selling venues

-Age of the account

-Shipping & Processing speed

-Competitor offers

-Quality of the listing

-Brand Registry for the listing brand

And many others.

we complained about it last week. they said it was a glitch and fixed it within 1 hour. First time complained in 10 years and finally, Brainwashed everyone to believe no one can help and some special algorithm .It was easy as them taking time to look and it worked.

Amazon gives priority to FBA for the buy box. I think that is one of the reasons they are being sued as they should be.
