I need to get a certificate with my local state tax dept. and because Amazon is the Marketplace Facilitator they are asking/need Amazon's Merchant number.
Where can I get that information?
Is it the same thing as my Merchant Token?

Never heard of such a thing. I think there must be some miscommunication.
You applying for a resale license (or whatever your state calls it) has nothing whatever to do with Amazon. You would be applying for that license to start up any sort of retail business be it flea market, brick and mortar, or your own website.
Amazon's relationship with the various state tax boards has nothing to do with third party sellers and they will never be privy to any of that.
