Refunded A Return, Canceled Shipping Label, But Now HomePage Reads Unfulfilled Order. How Do You Solve This?
A few days ago I made a sale and decided to use Amazon shipping as a carrier. The item was going to be picked up 2 days later by Amazon. However, on the day after the buyer made the purchase, they surprisingly made a return request, saying "Wrong Item." I figured instead of them saying "Bought by accident," they would use the reason "Wrong Item" to communicate that they bought the wrong item and wanted it canceled.
Luckily, the item had not been shipped out, as it was supposed to be picked up the next day. I went to the Amazon shipping website and canceled the pickup. Afterward, I came into Seller Central and gave a full refund, and that was the end of the story. However, I kept getting email messages from "Amazon Shipping" website saying I was late for a pickup. I assumed their system, which is somewhat integrated with Amazon, didn't get the memo that I gave a refund to the buyer and didn't ship the item/use the label. So today, I went to the order page on Seller Central for that order I refunded days ago, and clicked on "refund shipping label," hoping Amazon Shipping will see that the label has not been used so I won't receive anymore messages. However, my account is now saying I have an FBM order to fulfill for the very order I applied the refund to and is giving me the buy shipping template for the order and telling me to ship it out by today. How do I handle this? I really don't want this to impact my metrics.
Are there any Amazon associates here that can help me, so I won't see this unfulfilled order template on my homepage? Or do any sellers have some suggestions to get around this? It really bothers me.to see the Unfulfilled Order on My homepage. There seems to be no recourse or solution on our end to let the system know that a shipping label wasn't used and that an order was refunded and basically canceled. I hope this doesn't hurt me in any way. The developers that developed this site really didn't think things through. They should've sat down with sellers to comb through possible account issues like this that sellers could come across so we could easily remedy it through the interface ourselves. Solutions should've been built into the UI. There should be a simple option next to the order that we can click on saying, "This order was refunded and canceled due to buyer request" to make this all go away. SMH!
