Bad customer reviews that have no information and affect overall product review rating
Since my product started selling on amazon ( 3 months ) I have gotten 21 reviews total. I entered the Vine program which got me 8 reviews 6 of which were 5 stars, 1 was 4 stars and 1 was 3 stars. All other reviews have been mostly 5 stars with a couple of 4 stars. Today I saw that I have a 2 star review which prompted me to look right away at what had happened. To my surprise there is no written review in fact it does not appear in any of my seller central customer review tools (Brand Registry); the problem is, that it does appear at my products listing which is seen by every potential buyer. Is this normal? how can I defend my product from an unknown reviewer that has no verified purchase? I would like to remove it, if possible. If not then I would like to know why I got such a bad rating in an otherwise 4.7 star rating product.

Customers leaving reviews do not need to write anything or provide any explanation for a review. They can simply rate the product and be done. This is the sandbox AMZ has built, and we get to play in. If a few cat p**ps get mixed in with the sand, AMZ does not care. Keep providing a good product and service, and move on.

Thanks for the post. As mentioned, buyers are not required to write a review. Also, to answer your question regarding review removals, typically reviews can only be removed from the Amazon.com website for one of four reasons:
1. The review conflicted with Amazon guidelines. This includes reviews which were posted as promotional content.
2. The review was removed by the customer who submitted the review.
3. Amazon discovered that multiple items were linked together on our website incorrectly. Reviews that were posted on those pages were removed when the items were separated on the site.
4. Amazon detected unusual review behavior and are not accepting/displaying reviews and ratings for the item at this time or are only accepting Amazon Verified Purchase reviews.
