Is help from a true expert on Amazon really even possible?
I have an ongoing issue that noone from Amazon can help with. I've opened case after case after case, and noone can solve my problem. It deals with a FBA listing that they switched to FBM without my knowledge or consent, and now nobody can get it back to where it belongs. There is no continuity from case to case. I have to start over each time and it is extremely frustrating. My real question is...does anyone know of a way to contact a true expert (that speaks English well) that can really get to the nitty gritty without reading their cue cards.
I'm to the point now where I get anxiety attacks just thinking about trying AGAIN.

Do you have any third-party apps connected to your account that could be sending over inventory data? That would cause the listing to switch from FBA to FBM.

Ive had issues and call late at night and seem to get a better group of people that know how to help and what and who to escalate to. Try that. We had some frustrations getting started. The only issue now is a particular item being labeled by AI as disease claims and not able to be sold on amazon which isn't true since we sell the large size and never had an issue. lol But try a night usually after 10pm PST. ;) (also we only have one item on FBA to test out the reliability of the program since we've heard some stories. We FBM most everything and do fine with that.

If you google you will find thousands of "Amazon experts". But since in this forum outside links are not allowed, nobody can give you a recommendation. Fortunately private messages are technically not possible here, otherwise you would get hundred suspicious messages from faraway countries.
Did you take 4-5 weeks to go through Seller University? do you consult the help pages in seller central? Most times we can find the solution ourselves. Since Amazon is a self service platform, seller support will not explain how to handle it.

I would suggest SELLERS ASK SELLERS. Though there are a variety of on-line sellers there: handmade, the Mart, the Bay, the majority are long-time sellers, both FBA/FBM, who belonged to this forum and departed due to systemic changes nearly 2 years ago.
This is free advice by active sellers who are still selling on this and other platforms and some of these folks have been selling on-line 20+ years. This is where we go when we have an issue. On this forum, OP should ask a specific mod directly for assistance so they pay attention to your post.

with a slim margin of success......

Have you tried to "copy" the listing and set the copy to FBA and mark the one FBM to 0 quantity?

The standard answer would be to upload an Inventory file with just this item and set the "Fulfillment Center ID" field to "AMAZON_NA."
This filed can be hidden, but search for "Fulfillment" and them click the "+" to expand.
Currently though you should also be able to go into your Manage Inventory page, click to select the item and then convert it to FBA.

This has happened to me after a file upload once too. Super frustrating.
Couple of things:
- DO NOT keep opening case after case. Use ONE case only, and keep escalating on the PHONE until you get it resolved.
- REPEAT: Get on the phone. Issues like this are nearly impossible to solve via messaging back and forth
- Delete the item altogether and wait 25 hours and list it again with the upload. For some silly reason the system holds onto info for 24 hours then will release it. I know it sounds odd, but it works for me often when nothing else will
And I assume the simple task of going into your inventory and selecting it and changing it to FBA will not work? Don't want to be condescending, but it helps to know more about the issue.
To answer your direct question - the ONLY way to get to an expert inside is to get on the phone and don't get off until you get to a senior FBA or Catalog team member.

Sure, if you get past the Kolkata crew. I speak to them in Spanish and German. They can't communicate in anything but broken English. They HAVE to escalate you to a supervisor who is multi-lingual and usually pretty sharp. Works every time.
