Another Amazon Improvement! Adding Signature Recommended

Twice in a month, I have to compliment Amazon. I've paid for signature as "recommended" by Amazon. Surprise! I received a message from both customers politely asking me for a refund because they did not get the item that they ordered.

That's nice but the rest of the story will depend on whether Amazon actually protects you, OR chooses to ignore the signature and give the merchandise away.

Come back and let us know if they are actually going to do the right thing for a change.

I see this as Amazon telling a seller to pay for something that they should be paying for.

I would guess Amazon has paid several INR claims to these buyers and wants a signature at delivery so they can start denying these claims from said buyers.

Your already supposed to be covered for delivery issues when you use buy shipping. If Amazon wants a signature then Amazon should pony up the extra cost.

I just was looking at some of the other posts about this issue and I would not hold out much hope of Amazon doing the right thing!

Look at this post from a month ago and the response from a MOD!

At the bottom from @Bryce_Amazon EMPHASIS ADDED --

"If you proceed with the recommendation, on the buy shipping page, select Signature confirmation or Adult signature confirmation as the confirmation method. The cost of signature confirmation will be added to your shipping fee.

If a buyer reports lost or not received on orders with signature confirmation enabled, Amazon will perform additional checks on buyer accounts before granting the claim or refund. Claims granted without your involvement will be made eligible for appeals."

In other words, they will look, probably grant the refund giving away your money and product (as is usually the case) AND make you APPEAL the issue!

How nice of them........🤬🤬🤬
