Concern Regarding Unusual Buyer Refunds for Large Orders
Hello,
We are now tracking unusual buyer refunds that seem irregular, particularly for larger than average orders. We just filed a seller support case regarding the most recent suspicious buyer return. I am not expecting any help.
We are a relatively small seller of wooden table top wares such as bowls and plates. Normal or average order quantities are 1 to 2 units (A unit is usually a set of 4 pieces). We have noticed a pattern regarding some buyers ordering 10 to 20 units then sitting on them for a while (1 month for example.) and then returning all or most of them.
This really hurts our business. I understand and am not complaining about average order quantity returns.
Please comment if you have any similar experience of suggestions regarding this type of issue.
Are they being used for a special function and then returned?
Thank you,
BAP Global

Hi @Seller_3idxc4BYseB0O- appreciate you looking to the seller forums for some insight into this irregular orders.
I hope my commenting helps drive some traction to this post so other sellers weigh in. I am glad to hear you already connected with support on this topic. If you are concerned that the buyer may be abusive, you can report them using this pathway. While Amazon won't provide you with the details of their investigation, it is an important step in documenting suspected fraud.
Also remember that a general best practice would be to set max quantity limits if you do not want one buyer to purchase over a certain amount of stock.
I hope this helps, but let me know if I can help address any other questions!
Best,
Danny
