Will my amazon account shut down if my llc closes?
Hello guys, so here is a little back story.
Back in april of 2022 I decided to close down my LLC and I submitted the forms with my tax guy and early this year I checked and its still active. I called him and he said that we did not close the company but I vividly remember filing my final tax claim and I even dropped off some paperwork to the post office to close down the LLC. Here is the thing, I want to keep this LLC now and I want to keep my amazon account. I don't trust that the LLC will be open, maybe its taking longer than usual? Or maybe he did not sumbit the form? But in the case the LLC does close, will I be able to keep my seller account? I want to keep my account, any advice. Have you guys closed down LLC's before? And how long did it take? My LLC is formed in California.

I don't know about CA but in WI the owner OR their representative (Agent) that was given power when the LLC was created would have to take action to terminate the LLC. OR if you would have neglected to pay the annual fee with the State the STATE would terminate it.
Unless you appointed your accountant as the Agent OR they failed to pay the annual fee they would have nothing to do with closing it, at least here.

So long as you are not being requested to submit any information and you are not violating Amazon's policies, there should be no impact on your account for actions you take regarding your LLC. Once said action is complete, you would want to update any new information in your account. Otherwise, you can treat the LLC as a completely different entity from your actual Amazon selling account. While going through this process, you can utilize the vacation mode if need be if you need to pause account activities while working on your LLC.
