ASIN no longer connected to our Brand after adding brand alias

We have been selling our own product on amazon for 12+ years. Many years ago we registered our trademark with brand registry. Our trademark was for our company name as one word in all caps. Some of our old ASINs had our company name as two words in upper and lower case.

Years ago we were able to add A+ content for both of these brand spellings. About a month ago we went to update and add some A+ content and are getting an error on old A+ content and new content saying that the ASIN is not associated with our brand. We are also no longer able to run sponsored brand ads as it says the ASINs are ineligible.

So I contacted the brand registry support and they told me that I could add the second spelling to the brand registry as an alias. The alias is available for this exact situation, ex. upper and lower case or spaces in the brand name. They completed this with 2 days.

Now all of our listings are saying there is a error on the product detail page and that the brand is invalid.

After contacting seller support again this is the message I received back:

Please be informed that, this issue arose due to the brand linkage. Although the brand name is "xxxxx", through our end, the listings are linked to another incorrect brand. To remove this linkage and connect the listings to the correct brand "xxxxx", we have contacted an internal team regarding this issue.

Has anyone ever had this issue and were they able to get it resolved? It has already been 5 days. I followed up with them twice and they said they are working on it.

Hello @Seller_3ve2OC4LPWeEY,

My name is Dougal from the Community Manager Team and I have engaged on similar issues for Sellers here in the Forums and the process can take some time. Even after everything is correct, the team often provides and ETA of up to 7 days for all listings across ALL stores are updated.

If you provide the case ID, I can check in on the case. I may not be able to provide additional info, but I can check our internal case management systems to see that it is being actioned and where it may be in the process.

Best, Dougal
