FBA send to Amazon shipping cost doubled?
My cost sending a box of 10 units (44lb, 20x14x9 inches box) was $17 or so...
and today it increased to $36/box via UPS. Anything changed?

It's not just the shipping. They started charging for THEIR distribution to their fulfillment centers. This is often more than the actual shipping. I forget what they call it, something like reallocation fee.
They move truckloads of items between their warehouses and it takes weeks if not months for my items to appear for sale.
Previously they would break up my shipments to various locations around the US, which made sense to me. The total shipping was only slightly more, since it was 3-5 shipments. Now unless you are shipping huge quantities, they receive all the items at one location of your choice and charge you to redistribute the items.
I used to pick the lowest overall cost, but no I pick the closet distribution center, since otherwise it could take 5 days before it even gets into receiving..
Noticed also that my FBA shipments are always short. I count everything 3 times before it leaves here and am 100% sure of my quantity. Random items disappear and they don't let you dispute for over a month, by which time I usually forget, and they close it out... trickery to say the least.

FYI... the holiday increase has been waived for USPS shipments under 21 lbs. Maybe that will help!

I tried shipping my box out in September, early September, and the cost was triple. I dont know when it went into effect, but it would have been nice to get a heads up on it. With such tiny profit margins, no way could I afford to send in my holiday merchandise. Unbelievable what Amazon is doing to us. It is terrible.

Oh yeah, forget the seasonal surcharge rates, this is the new norm for FBA.... Leadership won't change this considering they have increased goals every quarter/year. Welcome to pure greed folks.

UPS has peak demand surcharges, and yes, they are quite pricey!

Every single seller in the US needs to go to FBM! Getting tired of Amazon screwing us over on fees and shipping!

I AM FBM - or at least the product that I sold on Monday is - and I'm currently being charged $26-27 for a 7-pound oversized board game.

I am FBM. UPS in fact changed their revised rates for Value Added Services and Other chargers. IF you ship anything that falls into an additional handling category, there are new charges. My Dimensional Additional Handling charge based on L X W X G and actual weight, now is anything over 48" charged at 40 lbs, which has literally jumped my shipping costs to nearly triple. AND the AH is still charged on top of that.

Well for FBM Amazon is now overcharging all USPS shipping. Seems Amazon is now charging more than USPS as all shipping tiers are shifted from where rates on 5oz-8oz were one rate now it is 4oz-7oz and at 8oz you now pay the old 12oz rate and this is only Amazon doing this as no other shipping platform raised and changed tiers like Amazon did as we are all being massively ripped off!

Hello @Seller_Zc9Y2xguxQv8V @Seller_TSvSKJyyOrZV4 @Seller_32LOWvQ5GbJiz @Seller_AweL7Mr0z8wCB and all other sellers asking about last Thursday and Friday's UPS shipping rates for inbound FBA shipments. Our partner team provided an update for me to share with sellers:
On October 24th and 25th, UPS experienced technical issues that affected pricing information sent to Amazon and other customers. This resulted in incorrect manifest rates being displayed in the Ship to Amazon workflow and AWD in Seller Central.
The pricing discrepancy that you saw was caused by a temporary technical glitch on UPS's end. The issue has been resolved.
Normal pricing has been restored in the Ship to Amazon workflow and we will issue refunds for any shipments that were incorrectly charged higher rates during the affected periods.
No action is required by you. We will handle the entire process.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.

Why does it cost me exactly DOUBLE to ship to Amazon the same SKU and quantities that it costs me to send to Walmart? What happened to Amazon shipping charges, and why did they go up SO much when Walmart is 50% cheaper?

Yet another "cost of doing business" fee from Amazon. Tis the season!
