you can report it all day long, nobody at Amazon will care. Happens all the time.......

Unfortunately this does happen all the time. If you item is registered in brand registry you should be able to report a violation on this seller using the ASIN and I believe there is actually this exact reason in there as a reason to report. If you're not registered with brand registry then you might have some issues getting it resolved.

You could set a limit on the # of units an account could purchase should help off set some of this issue (not ideal but hopefully it helps).

Hard to prove, especially if they are using different accts . I suspected the same for one of my listings. I have a ton of pending orders 3-4 weeks open. Then ultimately cancel. Luckily i have a glut of inventory so it doesnt phase me but its annoying.

I have run the Order reports, to see if there was any trends i.e Country, City, State etc of the cancelled orders & there was none.

Best is to set an order limit to 1 or 2 on your listings

if this link doesn't work use search for "report abusive buyer" and then there's an option for "a competitor is placing orders to hold my inventory"

granted I'm not sure how effective it is, but I report all bad actors that affect my business. I recently reported someone that was another business that was using me as an FBA switcheroo repository with a 50+% return rate and pretty much every order coming back as something else.

If you want to know if it is the same person/account you can view your FBA reports and find the order numbers, then look up the order numbers and you get a long Amazon-generated email. This is assigned to each buyer, so I can track repeat buys/returns/cancellations by seller.

Again, not like Amazon does much as I have reported customers who I have tracked buy, use, return as defective for a free exchange, then use, and return, repeat, for months and support said all I could do was report brand fraud. But maybe this will give you answers as to who is doing it and if it is the same account being used to hold merchandise.
